Same same, but different
This place is changing. Over many years, i've awfully neglected my personal blog. Tons of links in the main menu and the blog roll are not working anymore. Many of the old blog posts have pictures not loading anymore. After flickr i was using another service, even paid for it. Until at some point the reminder email for payments was not coming anymore. I guess, i missed the closing down notice.
Very well. Another title could have been: the blog is dead, long live the blog. At another time in my life i probably would have moved the old blog to some kind of archive. Enshrined, but never touched again. I was thinking of it. But no. Stepping away from beaten paths is something i try more often. So here we are.
This will still be my Feld-Wald-Wiesen-Blog. A blog of field, woods, meadow. Personal Blog they call it in english. There's something irritatingly beautiful about the german term. Totally unspecific and a little bit of everything, slightly pejorative (see duden.de). Searching for a nice explanation of that term, the internet did not disappoint.
My translation: It seems no one ever had the idea that this combination of terrains can consist of something utterly soothing, gentle, even beautiful, that maybe only tends to be overlooked because we love the extreme, the glaring, and not, what we see every day.
One of the most obvious changes will be the languages in which the beloved reader can find blog posts here. My life now happens in german, english and castellano, eventually also euskara. And so will my blog.
Oh, and surely it is pure coincidence that my last entry here was 10 years ago.
